Jambo!

We have really enjoyed taking part in Cultural Week and have lots of interesting facts about Kenya. We have had lots of fun making necklaces, fruit kebabs, drumming and taking part in an African dance.
We also looked carefully at patterns on fabrics and made our own  patterned dough tiles.
We enjoyed dressing in colourful clothes and trying to raise money for toilets in Africa.
Have lots of fun in the holidays and keep safe.

Little Red Riding Hood

We have had another busy week. In maths we have been practising adding 1 more. We choose a number card and carefully counted out that number and then added one more. We looked for the total number on a numberline. We said the number sentence aloud.
" 1 more than... is...".

In Literacy we have been listening for rhyming words in the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We then thought of our own rhyming words.
"Wood - hood" Freddie

"Eye - sky" Grace

" Old - gold " Toby

We enjoyed planting bulbs with Ronnie's mummy. Thank you, it was good fun.

In PE we have been practising aiming a beanbag at a target. We threw the beanbag underarm and watched the target
area very carefully.

Next week is Cultural week ,we shall be learning about Kenya. We will be looking carefully at patterns to make African necklaces and clay tiles.

Our Learning Owl this week is Joy who has been concentrating carefully on her learning. Well done! Have fun with Otto.

In phonics we have been learning the tricky words I and the please help us to find these in our reading books.

In maths we have been learning to count carefully.
" You could put them in a line to count".Toby
