Mrs Bentley has been very impressed with our writing this week.We have been using our phonics to help us write a sentence about the troll in The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We came up with some amazing wow words(adjectives to describe him).
We have been thinking about capital letters, fingers spaces , reading it back to check it makes sense and using a full stop at the end of our sentence.
In maths we have been using our thinking skills to help talk about the number three.
"If we draw 5 dots and take away 2 we have 3 left" Leo
Please ask us about the number 3. What is it bigger than? Smaller than? Next week we shall be talking about less than.
We have started to practice our nativity play. If you need any help with the costumes for this please ask. We are enjoying learning the songs.
We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas Fair, and have been busy making decorations for this. Please come along and buy our decorations. Thank you for all your donations.
Our Learning Owl this week is Aidan who has been taking in his learning forwards. well done. Have fun with Otto.

ReplyDeleteSienna and Austin won 6 jazzy jars at the Christmas fair. That meant we had 3 jars each. Then Austin gave a jar to Bella because she had less. Mummy and Daddy gave us a marble in our jar at home for good sharing.

Happy Sunday everyone Charlie Martin
Yesterday was my sister Elisia's birthday and for her party we had sticky foam. We had paint and I got paint all over me and we hammered a cake up, not the birthday cake but a special one.
ReplyDeleteCharlie told me that 5 is bigger than the number 3 and 0 is smaller than 3. He told me that if I have 7 things and take away 3, then I have 4 left.
We were sorry to have missed the Christmas Bazaar and hope everyone had fun!

Ella is enjoying practising for the Whoops a Daisy Angel performance. It was Ella's sister Joanna's birthday this weekend, so Ella has enjoyed Joanna's party with friends and family. We were sorry to miss the Christmas bazaar but Ella enjoyed making her Jazzy Jar.
ReplyDeleteNathaniel says: "I enjoyed playing with my friends at my sister's party. I had lots of fun at the bazaar, I won two jazzy jars and a bouncy ball. That is three things altogether. 'Whoops a daisy' is my favourite song in the nativity, I am excited about school."
ReplyDeleteOscar enjoyed the lesson and said 'Number 3 is a smaller number and number 20 is bigger number. it is bigger than No.2" and he said "I won 3 chocolate sweets in Christmas Bazaar yesterday".

We had a fun weekend and liked the Christmas Bazaar. Next year, I’m going to save up so I can do even more things there! I’m going to save £3 and £4 so I might have £7 to spend there! Sammy said.
ReplyDeleteDaisy says "I had fun at the bazaar because I won a flying snowman and a jazzy jar.Edward won a jazzy jar too. Grandma and Grandad came to stay as well, for three days".
ReplyDeleteAidan says... " I have had a really fun weekend with Otto. I did some really good sharing with my Brother Noah. When reading to my mummy i have been showing her where all the full stops are. We didn't make the Christmas Bazaar as my mummy was poorly but i sang 'Whoops a daisy angle' which made my mummy feel better. Mummy keeps on saying 'oops a daisy angle' so i have to correct her :-) I am going to be a Star in the nativity and i am really excited and can spell start too .... STAR, From AIDAN X
