St Mary's Church

Thank you to all of you who helped on our visit to St Mary's Church on Tuesday. We enjoyed helping Reverend Will to tell the Christmas Story and singing  Away in a Manger. It felt very special.
We have been busy making Christmas cards this week and practising for our nativity play. We are looking forward to performing it next week.
Before school from Tuesday to Friday next week there will be Christmas story telling sessions in the library.
On Wednesday we shall be having Christmas dinner and on Thursday afternoon we look forward to watching a pantomime. Friday is Christmas jumper day.
We have been thinking ahead to  our topic next term which is called Colours of the World. We shared what we know and what we want to find out and came up with some interesting questions.

"Why is the solar system dark?" George

" Can birds change colour?" Grace

" Why can we see in the dark? Toby

Our home learning is to design a sleigh for Santa. This could be using paints, lego, junk modelling etc. We look forward to sharing them.

Our Learning Owl this week is Maxwell who has persevered with his learning. Well done. Have fun with Otto.
