What do you know about the number 3?
Mrs Bentley has been very impressed with our writing this week.We have been using our phonics to help us write a sentence about the troll in The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We came up with some amazing wow words(adjectives to describe him).
We have been thinking about capital letters, fingers spaces , reading it back to check it makes sense and using a full stop at the end of our sentence.
In maths we have been using our thinking skills to help talk about the number three.
"If we draw 5 dots and take away 2 we have 3 left" Leo
Please ask us about the number 3. What is it bigger than? Smaller than? Next week we shall be talking about less than.
We have started to practice our nativity play. If you need any help with the costumes for this please ask. We are enjoying learning the songs.
We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas Fair, and have been busy making decorations for this. Please come along and buy our decorations. Thank you for all your donations.

Welcome Back
The children have come back from the holidays refreshed and ready to start learning again.
We have been using the bead strings in maths to practise finding one less. We used a speaking frame to help with our learning " 1 less than...is..." Please ask us to find one less at home with different objects, or when out shopping etc.
In PE we have been using the balls to practice catching head height keeping our eye on the ball. The home learning this week is to practise throwing and catching alone and with a partner.
On Wednesday we shall be going to Woodlands for the first time, so please ensure we have wellington boots to wear as it can get very muddy.
Our Learning Owl this week is Leo who has been taking his learning forwards in Learning Through Play. Well done! Have fun with Otto.
